  • Hi, I’m Shelvy Richardson, and I’ve dedicated my life to being an advocate and support for children, families, and underserved communities. I hold an Associate’s degree in Human Services Technology with a concentration in Mental Health from Wake Tech, a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the illustrious NC A&T, and a Master’s in Social Work from the joint program between North Carolina A&T State University and UNCG. As an Aggie through and through, my commitment to service and community runs deep.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and Community Support Therapist, my career has been all about bridging gaps in mental health care and ensuring that every child and family has the resources and support they need. My work with Roots 4 Raleigh reflects my core belief that mental wellness should be accessible, engaging, and rooted in the heart of our communities.

When I’m not providing therapy or working in the community, I’m passionate about creating spaces where individuals and families feel supported and empowered on their mental health journeys. My vision for this organization is to bring people together and make mental health care something that everyone can access, understand, and engage with.

  • Hi, I’m Jazmine Webb, and my journey is fueled by a deep passion for advocating for children, teens, and families, especially when it comes to mental health. I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the historic North Carolina A&T State University, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Public Administration (MPA), continuing my commitment to understanding how we can create lasting change for those who need it most.

Through my own personal struggles with mental health, I’ve learned the importance of having the right support system in place. This has driven me to become a mentor and advocate, working to ensure that mental health services are accessible, compassionate, and effective for those in need. Whether it’s through guidance, resources, or advocacy, my mission is to make sure that every child and family has the opportunity to thrive.

Alongside my mom, Shelvy, I’m proud to co-found Roots 4 Raleigh, where we’re dedicated to breaking down barriers in mental health care and creating a community of support. My vision is to empower individuals and families to take control of their mental health journeys and to make sure they never feel alone in the process.
